After weeks of steady rain, Charlottesville has been cloaked in clouds—trees dripping, skies heavy, and plans often paused. Late May seemed more like a lingering spring storm than a welcome to summer. But with June comes a shift: longer days, and the warmer temperatures and the promise of something new.
This change in weather offers more than just sunshine—it offers a quiet reminder. Just as rain gives way to sun, we, too, can allow an inner shift. We can make space for renewal, lightness, and even joy. June invites us to look outward and inward. It’s a time to stretch, to unfurl, to reconnect with what brings us energy and ease.
At FEAP, we recognize that inner sunshine doesn’t always come easily. Sometimes it takes intention. A breath, a boundary, a conversation. We’re here—to walk with you wherever this season finds you.
Let June be a gentle awakening. Step into the sun—on the sidewalk or in your spirit—and know that you are allowed to feel hope. You are allowed to feel good. You are allowed to rise.
Yours in Well-Being,
Beth Danehy, Director, FEAP
